Metal Roof Systems
A2MG is a custom fabrication and turnkey installation company, serving the commercial, health, retail and industrial construction industry. Our products are created in accordance with design specifications that are unique to each project with which we are involved. Our products are used on both the exterior and interior of the building, depending on the specific need.
Batten Seam
![]() |
|
Description: |
Metal pan with vertical standing edges that are held in place with clips typically spaced from 12" o.c. to 24" o.c. Separate batten cap snaps over seam and engages with clips. |
Standard Gauges: |
26 gauge through 20 gauge (24 gauge & 22 gauge most common) |
| Standard Widths: | 12" though 24" (12" to 18" most common) |
| Seam Height: | 1" to 2-1/2" |
| Standard Panel Lengths: | Up to 40' long standard (special limitations depending upon metal type and panel width). (onsite forming available for most) |
| Special Shapes: | Some special shapes are achievable with this panel, however shop modifications are required to achieve. |
| Roof Pitch: | Not less than 3:12 is recommended. |
| Materials: | This panel can be fabricated from almost any metal type, the most common is coil painted steel. |
| Substrate Requirements: | A solid substrate is required for this panel. Typically installed over a nailable substrate with a vapor barrier. |
Flat Seam
![]() |
|
Description: |
Custom formed panel with flat hook seams on all sides. Seam clips typically spaced 12" to 24" o.c. along two edges. Adjoining panel engages into female pocket. |
Standard Gauges: |
26 gauge through 20 gauge (24 gauge & 22 gauge most common) |
| Standard Widths: | Shop fabricated to desired width (12" to 36" most common) |
| Seam Height: | Flat seams lay against roof |
| Standard Panel Lengths: | Shop fabricated to desired lengths (24" to 48" most common) |
| Special Shapes: | Custom shop fabricated to your desired shape (rectangular most common). This panel can be formed to the contour of your building skin. Complex shapes most achievable with this panel type. |
| Roof Pitch: | Can be installed over a flat roof. Soldering is required for roof pitches less than 2:12. |
| Materials: | This panel can be fabricated from almost any metal type, the most common are copper, zinc and stainless steel. |
| Substrate Requirements: | A solid substrate is required for this panel. Typically installed over a nailable substrate with a vapor barrier. |
Integral Standing Seam (Also Known As Structural Panel)
![]() |
|
Description: |
Metal pan with vertical standing edges that are held in place with clips typically spaced from 12" o.c. to 24" o.c. One vertical leg turns over to form integral cap that engages with clips. |
Standard Gauges: |
26 gauge through 20 gauge (24 gauge & 22 gauge most common) |
| Standard Widths: | 12" though 24" (12" to 18" most common) |
| Seam Height: | 1" to 2" |
| Standard Panel Lengths: | Up to 40' long standard (special limitations depending upon metal type and panel width). (onsite forming available) |
| Substrate Requirements: | May be installed over a solid substrate with a vapor barrier or over open framing. |
